Leviticus 17:6-7

6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the Lord.

7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

Note: Devils here in the Hebrew means: Shaggy; as noun, a he-goat; by analogy, a faun (Faun: One of a class of rural deities represented as men with the ears, horns, tail, and later also the hind legs of a goat. A "deity" represented as a man with a goat's ears, horns, tail, and hind legs: see Baphomet, the Goat of Mendes, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baphomet#Goat_of_Mendes, worshiped by among others the Roman Catholic Knights Templar. Although, they say today that this accusation was false -- an Editor has questioned this statement, as this has been recently changed with "[citation needed]". I had saved previously what Wikipedia had, and this is what they use to have prior to this alteration: Baphomet (/ˈbæfoʊmɛt/; from Medieval Latin Baphometh, Baffometi, Occitan Bafometz) is a term originally used to describe an idol or other deity that the Knights Templar were accused of worshipping, and that subsequently was incorporated into disparate occult and mystical traditions. The name first came into popular English usage in the 19th century, with debate and speculation on the reasons for the suppression of the Templars.) Such as was considered a devil, goat, hairy, kid, rough, satyr (Satyr: A class of woodland deities, worshiped by the Greeks who was an attendant to Dionysus (Bacchus -- Liber the romanized form of the Greek Dionysus -- represented as part human, part horse, and sometimes part goat and noted for riotousness (Riotousness: In the Holy Bible speaking of someone eating, meaning: Blow down, glutton, riotous eater, vile. The Holy Bible also speaks of someone who SEXUALLY has the same type of "appetite" being riotous. One who is corrupted, debased) who has a profligate lifestyle, i.e.: utterly and shamelessly immoral or dissipated. One who is thoroughly dissolute, i.e: indifferent to moral restraints. Given to immoral or improper conduct. One who is licentious: sexually unrestrained. Lascivious, libertine, lewd, unrestrained by law or general morality. Lawless, immoral, going beyond customary or proper bounds or limits. Completely disregarding rules, and dissipated -- indulging in or characterized by excessive devotion to pleasure, and is intemperate and dissolute.) and lasciviousness, i.e.: one who has strong (sexual) desires and acts on them.
